Ruah is a Hebrew word that is interpreted as: the life-giving Spirit or fragrant wind of God. The scripture on the logo; Ezekiel 37:6 reads: "I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD." This scripture supports Ruah's mission to honor God by being the superlative example in the cosmetics field and to redeem the industry by offering safe, natural and beneficial personal care products to remind you of the One who has created them for all to enjoy.
In 2003, God told Founder and Owner Linda Clark to bring Him her 'jars' so that He could fill them. (2 Kings 4:1-7). So, understanding her 'jars' to be her creative gifts and talents, Linda began Ruah with a small line of scented anointing oils. Over several years, her business developed into a full line of personal care products and jewelry with ingredients that are as natural as can be. Toxic chemicals and other harmful parabens and sulphates commonly used in todays cosmetics industry were completely avoided in their creation.
Ruah's vision is to create and support the Clark-Spencer Foundation to help fund worthy, charitable organizations that are seeking to build the Kingdom of God and to improve the quality of life for all citizens in New England and beyond with a particular emphasis to support Native Americans and Israel. Ruah purchase some of its raw materials directly from the nations of origin and will eventually, help set up businesses along the trade routes of the world; returning profit and benefit to those nations to encourage change for the better.
At The Ruah Experience, we feel responsible to do what is right: being a good neighbor in the community, and integrating social and environmental priorities into all we do. Therefore, we want to treat others the way we would want to be treated, which means being careful to respect, honor and serve with honesty, integrity and appreciation of our staff, customers and business partners. Part of our environmental responsibility also means that Ruah does not tests its products on animals.
